Standing Biomass in Campus Trees

Title
Standing Biomass in Campus Trees
Subject
Standing Biomass
Description
In this project, I am focusing on estimating the standing biomass in large campus trees due to prolonged debates about maintaining, tending, and protecting large campus trees for reasons including aesthetic values, carbon storage, other ecological values, and risks of potential safety issues. To assist the Vassar Climate Action Plan and provide clarity of the carbon storage of the trees that will largely facilitate the debate and actions, I conducted a study to evaluate carbon storage and record conditions of large campus trees.
