Description
A rise in the beaver population at the Preserve at Vassar College has resulted in flooding in several areas, causing various problems. Due to all the flooding along the Quercus and Wright trails on the Preserve, the trails have been closed. With the hope of reopening the trails, the Preserve staff have asked us to create a management plan to decrease flooding and protect a sewage line adjacent to the Quercus trail. This study uses research and knowledge to create a management plan to protect the sewage line from infiltration, preserve native trees, and reopen the trails for public use.
